What we do
Six ways we take the weight off your day
Ten services in total, and most jobs combine two of them. Booking a delivery and a haul away as one visit costs less than booking them separately.

Residential and commercial moving
Homes, condos, and offices across Sarasota and Manatee counties, local or long distance.

Local moving
Short haul moves inside the county. Most of them finish in a single day.

Moving and storage
For the gap between closings, a downsize, or a room that has to be emptied and put back.
See detailsThree things that decide how a Sarasota move actually goes
Gates, elevators, and season. Almost every move here runs into at least one, and each one has a paperwork step that can leave a truck idling at a guard house at 8am.
Gated communities in Lakewood Ranch, Palmer Ranch, and The Meadows want the moving company on file before the truck arrives. Downtown high rises want a reserved freight elevator and a certificate of insurance naming the association. From December through April, the good dates go three to four weeks out.
None of that is hard. It just has to happen before moving day instead of during it, which is most of what we do before we ever pick anything up.

Where we work
Sarasota and Manatee counties plus northern Charlotte, including both barrier islands. We are based at Town Center Parkway in Lakewood Ranch.
Also serving Longboat Key, Osprey, Nokomis, Palmetto, and Ellenton.

What customers say
Reviews are the one part of a mover's marketing the mover does not write. Ours live on Google and Facebook, where you can read them without us in the middle.

Sarasota moving questions we get every week
What areas does Muscle Movers Sarasota serve?
Sarasota and Manatee counties plus northern Charlotte County, including Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Siesta Key, Longboat Key, Palmer Ranch, Venice, Nokomis, Osprey, Palmetto, and Ellenton. We are based at Town Center Parkway in Lakewood Ranch.
How much do movers cost in Sarasota?
Local moves are billed hourly, and the hours depend on how much you own, how far the crew has to walk, how many stairs or elevators are in the route, and how much packing is finished when we arrive. Long distance moves are quoted on weight and distance and put in writing before you book.
How far in advance should I book?
Three to four weeks from December through April, which is season here. Two weeks is usually enough May through November. If your date is tied to a closing, call as soon as you have the date, because closings and moving trucks both cluster at month end.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance for my building or HOA?
Yes. Give us the association or management company name and where to send it when you book, and we handle it before moving day. Most downtown Sarasota high rises and most gated communities require one.
Do you do more than moving?
Yes. Packing, moving and storage, junk removal and hauling, furniture pickup and delivery, piano moving, and moving supplies. A lot of jobs combine two of those in one visit, which costs less than booking them separately.
